Relationship therapy: restoring and deepening your relationship

Every relationship has its challenges. Sometimes tensions run high, recurring arguments arise, or contact has slowly faded. Perhaps you no longer feel heard or understood by each other. There may have been major changes, such as parenthood, loss or workload, that have thrown you off balance. Or perhaps there has been infidelity – a painful breach of trust that can leave deep wounds.

Relationship therapy offers space to reflect on what is really going on. In a safe setting I guide you without judgment, with an eye for everyone’s story and background. Together we look at what lies beneath the surface: pain, unfulfilled desires, repetitive patterns and the lack of connection. We pay attention to both perspectives, emotions, desires and differences. So that from mutual understanding you can build again on a relationship that connects, nourishes and carries.

Common themes in couples therapy

Couples come into my practice with a variety of questions. Do you recognize yourself in one or more of the situations below?

  • Recurring arguments or misunderstandings
  • Feelings of distance or loneliness in the relationship
  • Unprocessed grief or anger
  • Problems with intimacy or sexuality
  • Infidelity and restoring trust
  • Differences in upbringing, lifestyle or future outlook
  • Stresses due to parenthood or life changes
  • Loyalty conflicts with family or culture
  • Difficulty expressing feelings or listening to each other
  • Need for deepening or recovery after a relationship crisis

These themes are often the starting point for an honest, deepening process in which you can meet again.

This is how I work with you

In my practice I offer customized couples therapy – committed, careful and goal-oriented. I work with short trajectories in which we quickly get to the essence. Often couples experience more clarity, peace and space in their contact after only a few sessions.

My working method is integrative: I look at the person and the relationship as a whole. That means paying attention to behavior, feelings, thoughts, history, body and environment. From that broad perspective I use insights from several therapeutic streams, tailored to what suits you. My training in couples therapy, experience as an integrative counselor and systemic approach form a solid basis.

Whether it is communication, attachment, family influences or underlying hurts – together we reveal what is stuck and what is allowed to flow again.
